Hapag Filipino Cuisine | Our Story
A Filipino table in Yonkers
We're a small Filipino restaurant on Central Park Avenue in Yonkers, and our cooking leans on pork. Fried bananas and eggplant omelettes are on the menu too.
Why we're in Westchester
Filipino food was hard to find up here, and neighbors tell us they used to travel to Queens for it. Now they can come to Yonkers.
The dining room
It feels like a mom's dining room in here, with long tables set for bigger parties.
Staple dishes, cooked straight
We don't do fusion. We cook the staple dishes you'd find at a party or holiday gathering in the Philippines.
Sisig, then halo-halo
Get the pork sisig on the sizzling plate. Then bring a friend for the halo-halo, because it's huge.
